Glyphotal is a non-selective herbicide for post-emergent control of annual and perennial weeds. Systemic action, it is absorbed by leaves and stems green and translocated towards the roots and underground vegetative organs, causing the total death of the emerged weeds. The effects are slow, on all in perennial species, after 4 to 5 days after application, yellowing and wilting of leaves and stems begins and death total weeds. It is quickly inactivated in contact with the soil and by not leaving residues any crop can be sown after its application. Its low volatility reduces the risk of damage to neighboring plantations and crops. Its control spectrum makes it effective to weed cultivated areas on species of various genera.
